Thai stocks closed -6.50 points, following global stock markets.

Bangkok,, SET closed today at 1,291.58 points, down 6.50 points (-0.50%), with a trading value of 34,178.76 million baht.

Today’s stock trading, the index adjusted down, making a low of 1,288.22 points, and a high of 1,295.88 points.

Today’s securities changed by 39 securities, decreased by 340 securities and remained unchanged at 179 securities.

Mr. Soraphol Virameteekul, Assistant Managing Director, Head of Investment Strategy Team, Kasikorn Securities, said that the Thai stock market today adjusted downward, similar to stock markets around the world, which were pressured by the poor performance of US technology companies.

While domestic factors, investors are concerned about the results of the consideration of the prime ministerial qualifications of Mr. Settha Thavisin, still waiting for the Constitutional Court’s ruling on August 14th, including pressure from the bank group’s performance in detail that is not very good, resulting in the Thai stock market lacking supporting factors.
