General Jareonchai Hinthao, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, presided over the royal cremation ceremony of Sergeant Major Thanasak Buakhao, assigned to the 1st Special Forces Battalion, 4th Special Forces Regiment, who died while on duty from a clash with insurgents in Khok Pho District, Pattani Province on July 27, 2024 at Wat Dan Kata, Phra Phut Subdistrict, Chaloem Phra Kiat District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
The Army Commander presented the Tricolor Flag, certificates of honor, and Bang Rachan Medals to the families and heirs to honor the family and demonstrate bravery in performing their duties to maintain peace in the southern border provinces.
