Receiving – Decorating with garlands, hanging around the neck of the royal barge

Thonburi Shipyard, The Minister of Education witnessed the handover of garlands to be worn around the necks of three royal barges, along with a bud from Wat Rakhang Girls’ School, to the Royal Thai Navy to be used to decorate royal barges and prepare for the royal barge procession.

Pol. Gen. Phermpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, along with executives from the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), witnessed the handover of three royal barge garlands and Uba from Wat Rakhang Girls’ School to the Royal Thai Navy.

With Lt. Col. Chalermrat Ting-Uam, Director of Wat Rakhang Girls’ School, along with 11 representatives of teachers and students, representing Wat Rakhang Girls’ School in the handover, and Vice Admiral Wichit Tanprapa, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Navy, along with his team, representing the Royal Thai Navy in the handover.

After receiving the handover, the navy officers placed garlands on the three royal barges, namely the Suphannahong Royal Barge, the Narai Song Suban Rat
chanakron 9 Royal Barge, and the Anantanakarat Royal Barge.

Meanwhile, officials from the Royal Palace Office presented a golden wreath to a representative of the Royal Thai Navy to be placed on the royal pavilion on the Ananta Naga Royal Barge.

The director of Wat Rakhang Girls’ School said with delight that the school felt honored, teachers, students, and everyone was proud and happy to have participated in the creation of garlands to hang around the necks of boats since 1959. This time is the 16th time that the school has had the opportunity to create garlands to hang around the necks of boats, which began in November of last year. There have been many improvements and improvements to achieve the most exquisite and beautiful garlands to hang around the necks of boats today.
