NH Investment and Securities Co. on Thursday reported its second-quarter net income of 197.2 billion won (US$142.4 million), up 8 percent from a year earlier.
The company said in a regulatory filing that operating profit for the April-June period rose 21.9 percent on-year to 268.8 billion won. Revenue increased 10.4 percent to 2.41 trillion won.
The earnings beat market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 194 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
