Last night’s Euro 2024 finals were the second semi-finals, England vs. the Netherlands at the BVB Stadium in Dortmund. Just 7 minutes into the first half, the Netherlands took the lead from a shot outside the penalty area by Safi Simons, but England quickly equalized in the 18th minute from a penalty kick by Harry Kane, the team captain. After that, both sides continued to attack each other, with several close opportunities, but no more goals. The first half ended in a draw of 1 to 1.
In the second half, both teams had few chances to score and the game started to slow down, looking like it would have to go into extra time for another 120 minutes.
